Press Conference to Release New College-Funding Research During Life Insurance Awareness Month
New York, NY ‘ September 13 ‘ Millions of Americans ‘skate on thin ice‘ every day with their families‘ financial futures by not having adequate life insurance. Tuesday, September 19, the nonprofit Life and Health Insurance Foundation for Education (LIFE) invites New Yorkers to come find out how they can avoid being one of them!
| What: | Life Insurance Awareness Month national spokesperson and Olympic Gold Medalist, Scott Hamilton is hosting a free public ice skating event at Chelsea Piers, where he will share with the public personal experiences that have shaped in him a firm belief in life insurance.
The event also includes a brief press conference where LIFE will unveil new research that illustrates how life insurance can help families achieve one of life‘s most important and challenging financial objectives ‘ the ability to afford college.
Licensed insurance professionals will be on hand to answer people‘s life insurance questions.

Scott's Story
Scott‘s mother died of cancer when he was only 19 and her death put not only an emotional strain on the family, but a financial one as well ‘ if it hadn't had been for an anonymous donor, he would never have been able to go on to achieve skating greatness. His triumph over testicular cancer and successful treatment for a benign brain tumor reinforced his firm belief in the need to plan for the unexpected.
